"Yesterday a friend gave Chrononauts to me as a gift and I love the game. Although I'm not a history buff I am fascinated by time travel as a writer, a physics buff and someone who likes exploring twisted and elaborate logical puzzles, like those that come up from modifying history. I want to thank you for making this game, as well as Fluxx which is one of the most entertaining games ever produced." -- email from a fan named Tim

What's Going On? EAC: State-of-The-Card-Game Address

Well, it's 1776 and... no wait, it's 2004! We've been up to our nostrils in playtesting and prepress for Early American Chrononauts, and sometimes we lose track. But finally EAC is off to the printer, and it is a thing of beauty indeed. A worthy sequel to the original, with fun new stuff, and a whole new (older) century.

Now it's time to focus on promotion and pre-orders... and catching up on everything else that hasn't been getting done since we have been focusing so hard on EAC art deadlines. Instead of trying to think of something else to write about in this update, we offer you some more images from the game!

The rules are a single sheet (still being refined), folded down to card size - instead of a tiny little booklet...

Although the game is on schedule for it's July 4th release in game stores (and the pre-release at the Origins game fair), the POP display which will contain 3 of each version of the game will not be out until later this fall... we didn't really need to reprint the original version yet, and cash flow dictated that we put off the display for a few months.

What would have happened if the Boston Tea Party had been prevented or if Paul Revere's midnight riders had been silenced? What if the USA had failed to purchase Louisiana or if Washington DC hadn't been burned by the British? What if the Battle of New Orleans had been called off or if the Alamo had been abandoned and razed before the Mexican army surrounded it? What if Maryland had joined the Confederacy... would the South have won the Civil War? All of these questions and many more will be answered when you play Early American Chrononauts!

Please call your local game store today and ask them to make sure they have EAC on order from their favorite distributor!

Thank you for looking forward to playing our new game!
