I Loved Madly

I loved madly then,
A perfect ten
On the scale of foolishness.
My schoolishness
Could never compensate
For insight come too late.
One sided love is crazy,
Or lazy
From the other end.
So friend,
If you would be so kind
As to not remind me
Of my faults,
The somersaults
And backflips I have turned
For one who's spurned
My love.
No hand in glove
Ever fit so badly
As my heart
In the heart
Of one I loved madly.
