My older brother, 47. Lives in a far MD exurb of DC with his wife S, older daughter R, 16 (by a previous marriage), and younger son M, 8.

J

My younger brother, 43. Lives in Richmond with his wife and their brand-new twins. His wife is also a J, so they're sometimes referred to as the composite unit J & J.

N

My little brother, 33. Lives in a MD suburb of DC (very near my parents) with his wife Q. Both talented computer professionals, among other things; they live in a house called Wonderland.

Friends

T

Long-time chum since elementary school, lives across the Golden Gate bridge with his wife in Marin County.

P & L

L is another friend since way back in elementary school, lives with his wife P on the Outer Banks of NC. L surfs real waves (and has no truck with the expression "surfing the net"). I am their younger daughter V's doting godfather. She is 12.

O

L's older brother - a close neighbor during my mid-80s urban DC period, and a good friend for years before that. Now lives with his wife & three kids in Charlotte, NC. O and L's mother was a high school teacher my siblings and I all had for English.

D and G

Close friends for over twenty years who live in a VA city, actually a suburb of DC.

C and U

Two other school chums. During high school and college L, C and U lived in (their parents') houses which were located next to each other. In the 80's U and I shared an apartment in downtown DC. C now lives outside Atlanta with his wife & kids, and U lives outside Detroit. Actually I have very little contact with these two now.

F and B

Two women I worked with from the late 80's through the early 90's, during my LA years. They still live in SoCal (but F is also a DC native who attended a rival high school, so we always see each other over the holidays, back East).

E

A girlfriend from my college days with whom I share email correspondence. She lives on Long Island.

The Swiss Miss. I met her here and I visited there.

A New Jersey resident and native, who worked with me on the same project as F and B. Our contacts are now limited to email.
