Weep softly, waves.
The land still leaves the sea
Shimmering toward silently
Shifting eyes.

Fall: lemmings (the leaves)
Shed trees. Or trees shed leaves.
The lemmings fall,
Eyes shifting silently
Toward shimmering sea.

The leaves still land.
The waves softly weep.
