MANDRAGORA

one witch differs
from the other two.
one of a genius who,
with fleshy roots
and a spurred lip
of petals that wilt
(as if by the laying
on of hands) to
determine innocence
or guilt...
who dares to slip
like skin on skin
against astonishments
of love and sin
