Ginohn's Roller Coaster Picture (so called) Art
When we ride roller coasters, which we love to do, we like to pose for the pictures the amusement parks take in creative ways. This isn't really original, many people practice Roller Coaster Picture Art (like our friend Kevin), but here are our attempts that we were happy enough with to pay the ridiculous prices for. The first two pics are from Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, VA, Gina's new all time favorite coaster. The third is from two years ago on the Loch Ness Monster, also at Busch Gardens.
Looking bored or yawning was something John always liked to do for pictures or while hurling down steep slopes where other people can see you (the stand up roller coaster at King's Dominion for example). Renee tried that for this one, Gina was attempting it but came out looking pensive instead. Mark was fairly new to coastering and was just trying to survive (but we broke him this day, he loves it now), and John imitates our favorite villain.
It took two attempts and a little sneakiness to pull this one off. The first time we tried it, we rode in the front, but our excitement was killed when we got off and found the flash wasn't working for the front seats anymore. So we got on and did it again, somewhere in the middle. From left to right, it's Renee, John, Rich, and Gina. In case you can't tell, we all have knives and forks and are pretending to eat. HA HA, FUN-NY!
Stacy, Ken, and Gina rode the Loch Ness Monster many times on this visit, and it wasn't long before we were noticing the ride less and less and planning our photo more and more. This one came out so funny and cute we just had to buy it.

Here's an old picture from the days before we thought of coaster art. Even then we were posing. That's Stacy, Andy Jewell, Gina and John (pointing).
While we were at Cedar Point, Ginohn played cards on the Magnum coaster. Gina's cards are unfortunately hidden from view by some guy in front of us. The ladies behind us probably should have been dealt in for that hand.
Another one that's a little difficult to see without scrutinizing the original. Here, Gina is about to pummel Stacy, while Kory Heath and John (both holding fanned dollar bills) place their bets. This one was entertaining for the riders who were looking at the monitors after the ride.
