G: We were late twice, uploading
last week's news and
the week before.
This week, on
Friday I went to a campfire gathering to celebrate various things, like
spring and the full moon. I took Katy and when I got there we saw
Luisa, Dina with her dogs, Kristin and Alison, and two gentlemen I
didn't know but recall as Bob and Larry. Alison and Christian were
building a fire. Later on we had Alfredo, Diana, Bryan, Jason, Maddy,
Greg, and Stacy. I may have forgotten someone - forgive me please! We
had a very nice time. Christian played a few JoCo songs on his iphone
and Alison and I sang along. There was some drumming and Christian
played his didj a bit. Katy ran around. It was lovely.
Stacy
came back home and spent the weekend at our place before MOVING AWAY to
Minneapolis, MN! We are sad to see her go and will miss her but wish
her fun and happiness in her new life.
Anyway,
she was busy
Saturday so I didn't see her much. I took Katy on a long walk through
the woods over to Dorian and Amethyst's. Amethyst's son Brandon and his
girlfriend Jordan were in town and they brought her little Yorkie
Tyson, and I wanted to see him as we'd had so much fun with him at our
ThannksIndians a few years ago. DnA were both getting over the flu, but
we feeling well enough to have me visit for a few hours. We hung around
chatting and they gave me some fresh coconut and soup that they had
based on a Fuhrmanized recipe I'd given them. It was yummy! They had a
bunch of guitars laying around, including one of Izolda's that is
pretty small. I picked it up to show them the little I had learned. I
played the two chord "Horse With No Name" (which, as it turns out, is
not a Neil Young song), Dorian looked up the lyrics on his laptop, and
we muddled through it horribly, but it still felt great to play and
sing a song for the first time, however badly.
That evening I hung out at Rizolda's
while they were painting their kitchen until it was time to go pick up
John at the airport.
The next day Dave brought Rock Band over
and I called Kevin and he came over too. We rocked the afternoon away
and then took Stacy to The Cheesecake Factory for a farewell dinner.
Rizolda and CooperThom met us there too, and we had a lovely time. I
got a mojito and Stacy had some and she never drinks. So I got another
and we all shared. The food was great as usual, but I noticed the
prices had gone up since last time I was there.
Everyone but
Thom came back to our place for some more Rock Band. We went to bed
late and Stacy was gone in the morning. Hopefully she'll start blogging
and you never feel too far away with email...
