J: Kory
Heath visited us this week, woo hoo! We had a great time playtesting,
chatting with old friends, and making Kory listen to Jonathan Coulton
songs.

J: HSPD-12
is an executive order to re-badge all federal employees and government
contractors, after performing extensive security clearance
investigations. I must sign documents releasing my medical and
financial records. If I don't sign, I lose my job. Signing allows me to
keep my job, but I don't get a security clearance. The documents allege
that my signature is voluntary, but this is not true. If I sign, it
will be under protest and duress. I have a couple weeks to decide. If
you want extra

My
Problems with HSPD-12.
Here is
a short satirical play describing how I feel lately.
SCENE: A dark alley leading to my uncertain future. The PRESIDENT
stands in front of me, flanked by two Homeland Security AGENTS. The
agents look identical (balding, white, dark suits and dark glasses).
The President appears to be somewhat intoxicated.
AGENT 1: Give us your wallet, or we'll punch you in the face.
ME: Wha...?!
AGENT 2: It's for your own good. Listen to your president.
PRESIDENT: The terrorists hate our freedom. Nucyuler weapons. With us
or against us.
AGENT 1: You have 12 seconds to decide. Your compliance is totally
voluntary.
