Dennizens of Doom
G: So, this week we had a party.
Jonathan came to visit for the weekend. He performed at the New Deal
Cafe's open mic night Friday night, maybe you saw him. John and I saw
Brokeback Mountain, and it was really just amazing. I may go see
it again in the theater soon.
I've just started making bowls for Greenbelt Pottery's 2nd annual Empty
Bowls project. It was a great success last year and lots of fun too.
This year it will be on March 11th or 12th, I forget which day. If you
want to buy tickets, talk to me!
Since I was sick for a couple of days almost two weeks ago, I've had to
blow my nose a lot. I guess it's time to try to get a doctor's
appointment for some antibiotics; a student of mine who is a
pediatrician thinks I have an infection.
We didn't really get to talk about having a going away party for Kory
the weekend before and that we miss him a lot, but we've been in near
constant touch with him via email and online poker games, so that's
good.
John is still working on updating the way we publish this site, and
other changes. So stay tuned!
J: Here's my rant of the week: I'm so
disappointed with myself. I missed last week's rant on accident. No,
really, it was on accident. I promise that I missed last week's rant on
accident.
See, my
real rant has to do
with saying "
on accident"
instead of "
by accident," and
"I promise" when I really mean "I'm telling you the truth."
Instead of saying "on accident" you should use almost any other
preposition, including "over" and "aboard." And you make promises about
future things, not statements about the past, unless you have a time
machine. Thanks for reading my rant.
