Ginohnentialism

G: On Thursday, Dave Chalker took us to dinner at Taj Bengal in College Park. Kory came along. Then we took John back home because he was coming down with That Cold. The rest of us went to the Loons.

I can't remember what happened on Friday. Except that I went to do yoga with Izolda at her house. I've done that almost every day since last Monday.

Saturday
night I went over to Dorian's to watch Jesus Christ Superstar.  Cathy Dankewicz, Diana McFadden, and Paul Downs showed up too. We ate snacks and I snuggled up near the fireplace, and that was nice, but I wasn't as impressed with the movie as the others, it seemed.

Sunday I went to do yoga with a bunch of other people over at Dave and Diane's place, and that was really nice. We pigged out afterwards on bagels and spreads and Easter candy. Then Izolda and I checked out Roots, a nearby health food store. Kind of pricey, but nice. After dropping Izolda off at home I went to visit Dina and her new puppy, Ima. She was a sweet little rottweiler mix. I had a short time at home, then it was off to the fancy dinner party in celebration of Alex's birthday at The Conservatory. Izolda made fruity, fru-fru drinks, and we spoke with English accents nearly all night.  Dinner was wonderful. As we started on the soup, Renee remarked that part of the reason for the dinner party was she wanted to try out their new china.  "It's working!"
I exclaimed.

After dinner we left our English accents behind as we headed into the basement game room for some rousing fun with Karaoke and Legos. Not together. I really belted out "We're Not Going To Take It!" by Twisted Sister.

Monday I went to visit Stacy at her apartment in Takoma Park. I'd never been there before. It's pretty small for 3 people, but cheerfully painted in lots of different pastels and decorated with funky, colorful stuff. I like it a lot. We went to lunch at My Le (Vietnamese), then stopped by a green dry cleaners to drop off a couple of dresses.

We shopped around downtown Takoma Park. There are a couple of stores there with neat stuff
that I really like. We managed to stay in one store, The Magic Carpet, long enough to miss a torrential downpour outside. If you are looking for a present for me, a gift certificate to this place would be a great bet!

Stacy came back to our place, and we were expecting Alfredo to show up. He'd called that morning and we'd made plans to have dinner together - he offered to cook. When it was a bit past the designated time, John called Alfredo and jokingly told him he was late. Alfredo is never late. Alfredo told John he was late too. They went back and forth like this for a while until John realized that Alfredo expected us to go to his place. I was sleepy when he called in the morning and didn't get it straight. Anyway, it was kinda funny. Kory came over and we all went over there, bringing extra food. We had a great dinner! Alfredo makes this wonderful Mexican dish called Picadillo, using vegan ingredients. For dessert, there was Trader Joe's Bittersweet Chocolate, and it was really good. Then we looked at pictures from Alfredo's trip to Florida; there was a good one of an alligator, and close ups of anhingas, which although I've seen them many many times, never that close (as far as I can recall).

THEN we watched the dvd of Triumph The Insult Comic Dog. It was a brilliant display of wit and humor - FOR ME TO POOP ON! Loved it. Must have it. Will get it soon. You will see.

J: Blah. I've been sick with a That Cold all week so I didn't do a durned thing. Except— Gina's teaching me ceramics! It's "wheel fun!" Hah!
