The Reality Wheel

J: Thursday - Another Franklin's ride, with only one casualty. Renatta's healing quickly, and might go for another ride tomorrow.

Friday - It must be getting late, I can't remember what we did Friday. Sorry.

Urrgh. Me stoopid. I remember now, and I feel like quite the idiot. Russell and Shelly visited, along with Kory, Alison and Kristin. We all went to the Vegetable Garden and had a huge meal. Had a great time at our house later, chatting about all sorts of schtuff.

Saturday - Russell and I went for a long meandering woods walk with Booda, Joe and Renatta, their grandson Cameron, and a next-door neighbor kid named Evan. Later Russell, Gina, and I met the Veggie Garden gang from the previous night at the New Deal Café for brunch and some Homeworlds shenanigans. Then they all had to go, so Gina and I spent a good part of the day shopping for a cell phone
. Bought one in a 7-11, and bought some flat-rate minutes for it later, thanks to advice from Sam. Gina also bought a tan-through swim suit, ooh lah lah!

Sunday - Luisa's back  from Bolivia! Luisa yay! She visited us Sunday night with Alfredo.

Monday - Gina left for the beach with Rich and Izolda, and apparently she took my brain with her. I stayed home and spent most of the day eating and playing games with Leo, Lucy, and Kory. Joey and I went to an old gentleman's home to help him move a 350 pound cannonball, but it really did turn out to be a 350 pound cannonball, so we moved a shelf unit and a wagon wheel instead.

Tuesday - Went to work, bleh. After work, Stacy took Booda for a walk, and then we chatted for a couple hours. Then I became an internet vegetable.

Wednesday - Attended the first Forest Preserve Task Force, an advisory committee for which someone accidentally accepted my application. It was alright though. Paul Downs and Luisa are also members. After the meeting, Luisa came home, I fed her some cicadas and leftovers, then she washed dishes and started cleaning the house so I kicked her out, and now I have very little time to finish this very short GinohnNews, while listening to my two latest "David" CDs. That's David Bowie's Reality and David Byrne's music for The Catherine Wheel. Really fine albums; Good Show, Davids!

Check out this really nice email reply Gina got from the Cicada Rescue Federation. They're doing a fantastic job, they are.

Gina plans to ride a parasail and then drive home from North Cackalackee tomorrow. I miss her, of course.
