Maria ran to her boss.

"Mr. Bean, something's come up, can I have the rest of the night off?"

Mr. Bean scowled.

"It's important," Maria pleaded.

Mr. Bean looked over the situation. "Well, I suppose so," he said, "It's a slow night."

Maria put on her long black cloak, and headed for the door.
